The people of Ng'wangika are very cheerful. They gather often to discuss issues concerning their community and to celebrate successes as was the case after winning a "regional" soccer match.

Challenges Facing, and Innovations to Improve Primary Education - Especially K-2 - at the Village.

There are many challenges in rural areas. One of those is the rural and urban divide in early literacy acquisition in Tanzania.

Ever since she was a young girl growing up in Ng'wangika, _____ Has always wanted to teach young kids as she explains in a recent document. Now that she has her Teaching Certificate, we are working on, first to have her teach at the village Primary school; then work with her to come up with innovations to make early literacy acquisition at the village (initially K-2) comparable to "high end" Primary schools!
